Michael McGiffin serves as Vice President of Engagement and Investor Relations for Lake to River Economic Development, where he leads the organization’s investor engagement and regional partnership strategy. In this role, he works closely with business leaders, elected officials, and community stakeholders to strengthen collaboration and secure the resources needed to drive economic growth across Ashtabula, Columbiana, Mahoning, and Trumbull counties.
Prior to joining Lake to River, McGiffin served as President of the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber Foundation, where he led efforts to mobilize private and philanthropic investment in initiatives supporting workforce development, talent attraction, and regional competitiveness. Earlier in his career, he served as Director of Events and Special Projects for the City of Youngstown.
McGiffin serves on the board of CreativeOhio, a statewide advocacy organization supporting Ohio’s creative economy. He holds a Master’s degree in Education and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Youngstown State University, where he previously served as Student Government President.
He lives in Poland with his wife, Maura, and their three sons.
